SAMPLE LUNCH MENU

To Start....

Chef's home made seasonal soup served with freshly baked bread.

Goujons of free range chicken roasted in sesame seeds,
chilli and honey served with garlic alioli.

Pork and Chicken liver pate served with
homemade red onion marmalade and toasted bread.

Layers of smoked salmon mousse, green beans and smoked trout,
horseradish and dill mousse wrapped in smoked salmon
served with granary bread.

A spiced pear and Roquefort tart with a salad garnish
drizzled with a balsamic dressing.

Main course (lunch)....

Steak and kidney pie in short crust pastry

Traditional beef suet pudding.


(The above dishes are served with new potatoes and
seasonal vegetables.)

Home baked honey roast ham, 2 free range eggs
and home made chunky chips.

Thai salmon fish cakes with a sweet chilli sauce and side salad.

Warming Winter Stew with herb
dumplings served with mashed potatoes.

Kentish ale battered cod, petit pois and
home made chunky chips.

Pork sausages, served with onion gravy
on a bed of mash with vegetables.

HOME BAKED BAGUETTES (All £5.50)
All baguettes are served in a white freshly baked
French baguette with a salad garnish

A mess of meringue, whipped cream and fruit.

Apple and Frangipane tart
A short crust tart filled with apple and topped with ground almond
frangipane and sliced apple served with cream.

A champagne flute of dark chocolate mousse and mango
topped with a layer of white chocolate

Chapter Brulee
A creamy dessert topped with caramelised sugar.

Steamed pudding
A variety of steamed sponge pudding served with custard.

Bread and butter pudding
Bread and butter pudding laced with Cointreau oranges and sultanas.

in a white wine and tarragon sauce served on a bed of mash.

Pan fried Gressingham duck breast
in a sweet sticky port and orange sauce
served with sauteed garlic and thyme potatoes.

Herb crusted rack of Romney Marsh lamb
in a redcurrant and rosemary jus served with
creamy Dauphinoise potatoes.

Slow roasted, thickly cut shoulder of
locally produced free range pork
with crackling, caramelised apple sauce and roast potatoes.

Pan fried 8oz. Fillet of Aberdeen Angus steak
served with a rose peppercorn or stilton sauce
Set on horse radish mash finished with parsnip crisps

served with home made chunky chips and a side salad.

Beef tomato stuffed with couscous and Mediterranean vegetables
topped with melted mozzarella served with new
